The Stone Living Lab
The Stone Living Lab — A collaborative designed to leverage collective impact to address the impacts of climate change.
A new organization, the Stone Living Lab conducts transformative research and outreach to make vulnerable coastal regions adaptive to climate change while enhancing natural and built environments.
Lab partners gathered for a facilitated retreat to reflect on their first 3 years of success and lessons learned. The Lab focused on building common understanding of key terminology like equity, resiliency, time, and nature-based approaches as they relate to each partner and the collaborative work of the Stone Living Lab. Consensus was reached for a long-term vision for the Lab which acknowledges the ancestral roots of the Boston waterfront, strengthens the roles and responsibilities within their unique collaboration and identifies key opportunities and metrics to enhance the collective impact of the Lab over the next 20 years through research, education, policy and nature-based resiliency approaches.
